We’ve been waiting soso very long to introduce you to an immensely talented and incredibly exciting member of the Mr. Burns team – composer Katerina Gimon!
Kat is not only exceedingly cool, exceptionally warm and a super fun human, but also an extraordinarily creative and gifted composer to boot.

Katerina is an active performer, a founding member of experimental mixed-media improvisation ensemble Chroma, and member of Co.Crea.Tive improvisation collective. She is also the founding director of all-female creative vocal ensemble Audax.
She holds a Master of Music in Composition from the University of British Columbia and an Honours Bachelor of Music degree (in Composition and Improvisation) from Wilfrid Laurier University. She has studied under Dorothy Chang, Keith Hamel, Stephen Chatman, Linda Catlin Smith, and Glenn Buhr.

Katerina serves on the board of The Association of Canadian Women Composers (ACWC), is a member of The International Alliance of Women in Music (IAWM), and The Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN).
Kat is working now with director Madelyn Osborne to create the post-apocalyptic, pop-fueled sound of Anne Washburn’s Mr. Burns, a post-electric play, running April 3rd – 21st at Studio 1398 on Granville Island.
