Our collaborators have been born, raised on, or have travelled to this land, and it as well as the stories of its peoples are very dear to our hearts.

Rehearsals for “32 Stories Written by Kids” have been held at the False Creek Co-operative Housing communal space @falsecreeksouth 🏘️🤝 Co-op housing is so much more than an affordable way for folks to live in Vancouver. It can offer the space, tools and a supportive network to help us develop as individuals and as communities. Thank you False Creek Co-op for providing a home for this project and for helping to make a difference in the artistic development of youth in Vancouver 👏 Let’s hope that @kensimcity @vote4abc @cityofvancouver are looking for more opportunities to create more strong, caring Co-op communities that bring us all together and boost us all up 🤞💪🏙️

DIRECTING WORKSHOP 🎭📣 This morning we rehearsed each of the kids’ plays for them in small groups and then got them to offer their ideas on sound, lighting, props, costumes and acting choices. We’ll take their direction back to rehearsals for a couple weeks, then return to this stage to present all 32 plays for the whole school on May 30th!

Quick pivot to a digital rehearsal today 💻🎭👋 It was our first read through and casting for the kids’ scripts, and wow are there some amazing roles! Sith Lords, robot dogs, existential rocks and a ‘mysterious guy’ to name a few… Can’t wait to see this awesome team bring these characters to life!
