CALL FOR TEEN ARTISTS – “Mr. Burns Lobby Project” at Studio 1398 on Granville Island

The Project

Conceptualize, create and install material in the lobby of Studio 1398, enhancing and exploring the world  of “Mr. Burns, A Post-Electric Play.”

The Goal

Cross collaboration between emerging visual artists and emerging theatre artists, exploring and encouraging growth and play through immersion.

The Perks

  • Engage with professional and emerging visual and theatre artists
  • Volunteer hours fulfilled
  • Showcase your artwork to 500 audience members over three weeks
  • Tickets to “Mr. Burns, A Post-Electric Play”

Location

Arts Umbrella – 1296 Cartwright Street, Granville Island

and Studio 1398 – 1398 Cartwright Street, Granville Island

Timeline

Week of March 11th – First meeting/walk through of venue (1 hr)

Week of March 18th – First creative session (2 hrs)

Week of March 25th – Second creative session (2 hrs)

March 31st, April 1st, or April 2nd – Installation at Studio 1398 (4-6 hrs)
